While Darren was off on his mission and Ella was having a nap, I had a look at the local paper, which turns out to be a bit like the Framley Examiner (a spoof newspaper with an hilarious classified section).
One of the commonest wild birds in the top end is the pink and grey galah (as in Flamin' Galahs!), so I'm not sure how the locals are to spot this particular absconder. Perhaps the large reward will prove an incentive.
