Everybody's Gonna Love 2Day

More delights from Kyle and Jackie-O this morning on 2Day FM, who's latest TV ad campaign features that wicked song by Mika; love love me, shock shock me.

J: Okay this morning we’re discussing the issue of whether you’d enter into a relationship with someone if they had a disability

K: Yeah, would you date a defect?

J: Of course

K: I wouldn’t go there and I don’t think you would either, you’re lying

J: You’re awful, Kyle

K: I don’t care. I mean are you telling me you’d date someone who had no arms or legs?

J: Oh this is so uncomfortable but yeah, if my boyfriend lost his arms and legs I’d stick by him

K: But that’s not the same as entering into the relationship in the first place, I mean, he if he becomes a freakshow after you met him, that's different

J: Well I suppose it depends on the disability. If they needed total care, no I suppose not

K: No hands?

J: Erm

K: Blind?

J: That would be okay

K: Well we’ve got a few callers on the line. Nina, hi there Darl, what’s your story?

N: Well Kyle I dated a man who had the ring finger missing from his left hand and it was all weird. I mean when I held his hand it felt wrong

K: (laughing) and like where’s he gonna put a wedding ring if you got married?

N: Oh well there was this….stump (laughing)

K: Oh no, that’s just a freakshow. Let’s go to our caller on line two. Hey there Jason, what happened to you?

J: Well I was dating a girl in Perth for a year then she got burned in an accident and she was in the intensive care unit and I took one look at her and got back on a plane to Sydney mate

Jackie: Oh my god, that’s awful. Didn’t you love her?

J: (pauses) I loved her when she was pretty

Jackie: Oh my goodness

J: Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t leave until they’d told me she was gonna live. I’m not that heartless.

K: Good on ya for being so honest about it mate. No point lying.

That’ll be a skinny flat white decaf with an extra shot to bring me round thanks.

I'm genuinely shocked. Do they ever get any complaints?

No idea whether they get complaints but I'd assume so, though probably not about the swearing all over the place as nobody gives a toss about that.

Kyle's pretty notorious now. He's also a judge on Australian Idol (like pop idol) and he apparently spent time in the big brother house as a guest or something.

He's got a bit of a troubled background. I actually like his honesty but think he goes way too far on issues like this.
