Nappy Valley

We spoke to Darren's parents over the webcam before going down to Coogee for breakfast. His Dad has been helping keep an eye on our garden back home, opening important letters and running the cars. Our £150 bay tree is dead, but there's fertiliser on the borders. You can't have it all ways.

After breakfast at Barzura we spent and hour or so on the beach. I won't review the breakfast in too much detail, except to say there was no butter on the toast. Mr "Breakfast Blog" does a far better job than I ever could. I admire his blog (and his stamina) but I disagree with his description of Sydney as a "two trick pony", which he qualifies with "spectacular harbour, stunning beaches, but after that, what?". Mr Breakfast Blog is from Melbourne, which enjoys a bitter rivalry with Sydney, a bit like a pair of squabbling sisters. I've never been to Melbourne but I like Sydney a lot. As a temporary Sydneysider I'll shout "weather!". If that makes me shallow, I'll live with it.

Anyway, here's another shot of Coogee this morning. I don't need to tell you why they call the eastern suburbs "nappy valley". The picture speaks for itself.
