The Cassowary - another way to get yourself killed in Far North Queensland.
There are only about 1200 of them left in the wild but you can see their cousins in any Australian zoo, pacing the floor menacingly.
The thing on his head isn't a crop of feathers, it's a hard thing a bit like a rhino horn - this is a prehistoric bird and it looks like one. If he feels threatened he'll jump up and kick you with his powerful feet and well, you'll be in trouble.
