Maori Wrasse

Being a braver soul, Darren opted for the first of many so-called introductory dives, though by the end of the week he'd done so many of them he was practically training the instructors.

Here he is meeting Wally, the resident Maori Wrasse at Moore Reef (I say this because every reef on the outer section appears to have it's own Maori Wrasse and more than one is called Wally. For all I know it's the same fish and he swims bloody fast).

I saw Wally myself while I was snorkelling and eventually plucked up courage to touch his tail which freaked me out so much that I went steaming out of the water muttering about it being almost lunchtime.

Well what would you have done?
