My life as a housewife and domestic goddess part I.

Today I ironed thirty name labels onto Ella’s clothes, went to the fishmonger and took down a recipe for macadamia chocolate chip cookies from a programme on Channel 9. The worst part of all was that the recipe was half finished because they cut to an advert for a bagless vacuum cleaner.

Tomorrow I shall be taking Ella to the kids’ story group at the local library before returning home to do some finger painting and perhaps having a dip in the swimming pool.

On the other hand, I could be drinking a long vodka and tonic and listening to a spot of Basement Jaxx on the ipod, while Ella scales the back of the sofa wearing a pair of knickers on her head.

After the crushing disappointment over the macadamia cookies, it could go either way.
