Repeats

My third child-free day and third visit to the gym. There are six screens showing TV channels as you work out. One of them was showing an episode of Sons and Daughters from the 1980s. I can’t believe anyone still wants to watch this sort of stuff, but as there’s no TV licence, I don’t suppose they get many complaints about repeats. And if it means a re-run of Prisoner Cell Block H, I’m all for it.

When I collected Ella from nursery she had half a slice of raisin bread hanging out of her mouth and a traffic cone on her head. “Does Ella have a problem with sleep?” asked one of the staff. I laughed bitterly in response. “It’s just that we are noticing that she won’t sleep like the other kids do, she’s happy to stick her head in a book, but then she’s grumpy. We’re not sure what to do about it” She said.

No, neither am I.
