We didn't stay long at Palm Beach, just long enough to remind ourselves it was where they film "Home and Away". Ella was sleeping and it wasn't worth the pain of waking her up, not even for a chance to see this epicentre of australian popular culture.
The next beach south of Palm is Whale beach. As it's supposed to be winter, everything was closed so we couldn't even get a coffee.
Still, Ella enjoyed the rocks, as ever. It might well be winter but that doesn't stop her rolling her trousers up and sticking her feet into the rockpools. She has important work to do - relocating all those little sea creatures clinging in their shells to the sides of the pools.
