We left the aquarium and followed the signs for the E-tag route back to the eastern suburbs. Then we promptly lost the signs and I found myself heading towards what looked a lot like the harbour bridge. I can assure you that driving across the coathanger lacks the same allure in this filthy British weather.
Anyway, Ella fell asleep so I kept driving, eventually turned around and went back over the bridge and parked up on the cliff at the south end of Coogee beach while she had her nap. This was the view of the edges of Sydney taking a battering from the Pacific, and there were still people out there surfing.
