Today was the final day of bat training and they've been out in a farmer's field north west of the city, learning how to do accompanied stretcher transfers, which means winching down from a helicopter with a full medical kit and stretcher, securing the patient, radioing back to the helicopter and getting theselves winched back up again. That's Darren in the photos.
And then they had to wait until it went dark and do it all again, which was much harder.
So that's it, fully qualified batmen and women they are. So now you know who to call, but just bear in mind the time difference (currently GMT +9) before you get on the blower.
