Darren caught me humming the Australian national anthem this evening. It's a tune I really like and the lyrics are incredibly rousing; all this stuff about our land abounds in nature's gifts, a beauty rich and rare, at every stage on history's page, advance Australia fair. I love it.
Anyway, he chucked a magazine at me. Unfortunately it fell open at a full page advert for the new Australian citizenship test.
"Care to join me?" I asked. He wasn't amused. What a pity the Wallabies didn't make it any further in the world cup, I was planning to kit myself out in one of these.
Don't suppose he'd like that either.
